Cairns - Tablelands - Far North - Great Barrier Reef

population: 93,000 (1995)

19.11.96 - 01.12.96 and 31.08.97 - 20.09.97.
Around Cairns there's a lot to do and a lot to see...if you want to do a dive course in Australia, this is the place to do it. The Great Barrier Reef provides some of the world's best diving and there's ample opportunity to learn and pursue this activity. A five-day course leading to a recognised open water certificate usually costs between $300 and $500 and you almost always do a good part (mostly 3 days) of your learning out on the Barrier Reef itself.

What you can do: Scuba Diving (my recommandation is Down Under Dive),
Sky Diving, boat tours, water sports, trips to the tabelands, Kuranda and Cape Tribulation (PK's Jungle Village),
English Course at International House Queensland.
